The El Dorado Wildcats won the team’s fourth state championship in five years Saturday, defeating the Pine Bluff Zebras 31-24 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
It was a game in which Pine Bluff had an early 10-0 lead early in the first quarter, but saw itself trailing 24-17 by halftime. The El Dorado Wildcats wouldn’t trail again in the game.
